Reid Rooms Essex – J & B
This was my first time photographing at the Reid Rooms. This venue in the Essex countryside is a little gem. I was pregnant on this day and the sun was scorching but all the staff here made sure I was topped up with water and taken really good care of. I know it sounds like a little thing but it’s so important to choose a venue where the people working there are decent, lovely people. I can’t explain how much difference it makes to your day.
The Reid rooms is a rural venue, there’s a gorgeous house to get ready in. Both Jordan and Bradley got ready there with their children and their bridal parties. It’s a big enough place that they could stay separate whilst still being in the same house. An extra bonus being I could photograph both of them getting ready.
I love that Jordan had two outfits for her wedding. In the day she wore an amazing gown, which was like a royal wedding dress! Then in the evening she changed into party mode with her non-traditional dress and DMs. I love any bride that wears DMs with their dress. Such a great look! It was perfect for the evening photos where we got to sneak off and get some beautiful sunset shots.
The Reid Rooms
As I mentioned this place is in the country with its own accomodation, you can either get married inside at the main site or they also have a meadow with a gazebo where you can also get married, you can even hire a tipi and do the whole thing over there.
I love that the Reid Rooms take you via their tractor and trailers over to the meadow. It’s great fun and the guests love it. The venue is a great option if you’d love an outdoor wedding but are worried about bad weather as you can switch it up quite easily to an indoor version if you want to.
The courtyard is a great spot for drinks and there’s a hall with a seperate dancefloor.
The wedding day
Everything was super chilled and fun on this day and they managed to fit so much in. It was like two weddings in one! I love that they had their kids playing such a big part in their day but even with two young children it was still super relaxed. Such a hard thing to pull off!
