Small, micro, mini…whatever you want to call it. If you’re having an intimate wedding with 40 or less guests then you might just need a photographer for a few hours rather than a whole day.
Small weddings absolutely have my heart. They are a great way to get married without all the stress and attention of a big day. But they also feel really special and are often so heartfelt. I find mini weddings just allow people to be themselves more. You get rid of all the pressure and expectation that a large wedding can bring and just focus on the things that matter.
With smaller weddings I often finish as everyone sits down for the meal. Sometimes I photograph the getting ready, sometimes not, it completely depends on what you want. I always talk to my couples and see what works best for them. These are mostly available in Essex and Suffolk but I do travel elsewhere depending on availability.
Pricing by the hour
Full day wedding coverage can be overkill for a little wedding. So I offer an hourly rate for weddings that don’t need the full 8+ hours.
I’ll always chat to you first to check what you need coverage for and give you options of a good start and end point. I always need to start 30 minutes before a ceremony and will often leave at the meal if I’m not there for the whole day. It’s important to understand what is realistic coverage for a shorter day and I always send over example galleries and talk through what’s possible in your times to make sure we’re all on the same page.
I’m also unable to book these far in advance for Saturday dates. unless it’s 5 hours or more. If you want a Saturday with less hours it’s best to wait until closer to the time to see if I’m available. Weekdays are normally fine. Just contact me if you’re unsure.
