London Newborn Baby Photographer
A newborn baby, some magic autumn light and two awesome parents. Getting to photograph this moment in their lives felt like the biggest honour. It’ll be the last time they see autumn for a while, as they are heading back home to Cambodia so being able to get some of that autumn feeling into these photos, just made it that extra bit special.
There’s a big trend for newborn photos to be all about babies lying wrapped in fabric or naked with a bow on their head, like a little staged presentation of their perfection. Or even plonked in a box or basket, as if they have arrived, like the ultimate designer gift. I never want that when I photograph newborns though, I want to see the family connections, the love, the memories. I want to see her mother’s loving gaze and her father holding her gently in her arms.
