Lion Inn Boreham, Chelmsford Wedding
I laughed so much during this wedding. Chris and Stacey are super fun and had the loveliest, relaxed wedding at The Lion Inn, Boreham. I’ve been to this Chelmsford venue lots of times but never for a wedding so it was a real treat to find out that The Lion Inn is a fantastic wedding venue.
Lion Inn, Boreham
The staff are brilliant at the Lion Inn, laid back but conscientious. And the food is top notch. It’s a good balance between a pub and a reception venue. I love places where you can have the whole day in one spot, as it definitely makes it more relaxed, for the couple and the guests. And although it is a gastro-pub the wedding part is separate so you feel like you have it all to yourselves and it’s way more upmarket than your traditional ‘pub’. The main room is contemporary and filled with lots of light and there’s a great little courtyard area out the back too. Basically I totally recommend it if you’re after a pub style venue near Chelmsford, Essex.
Anyway back to the wedding day. I loved that they kept the day really relaxed, there was heaps of emotion but everything felt really fun and I loved all the kids tearing around, getting up to mischief. Chris’ family are Greek so they incorporated some of the traditional greek wedding dancing into the day. I love a Greek wedding dance, they are so full of life and I love how all the family members throw themselves into it. I mean it looks pretty intense, especially when you’ve had a few to drink!
