The absolute wedding goals of Priya and Harry. What a magical day this was. Helmingam Hall in Suffolk is an stunning setting for a wedding. The weddings take place in their beautiful gardens. In the early summer they really were quite something. That combined with Harry and Priya’s hindu ceremony really worked so well. It was such a special day.
The Wedding Day
It begun with everyone arriving for tea in the tipi. It was so nice to see everyone having some time together, sharing food and catching up. Then the traditional Hindu ceremony begun in the gardens. It was truly moving to see all the families and friends get involved. After the ceremony it was time for lunch. The most incredible Indian food which we all devoured in the sunshine.
I loved how laid back the flow of this day was. Especially as after lunch everyone disappeared off to their accommodation so they could get changed or just have a little nap!! Any wedding that involves time for a nap is my sort of day!! Ha!
In the late afternoon it was time for the party to get started, the DJ had house music playing while the guests got to enjoy the prosecco bar and all the lovely food vans. It was so fun to see everyone coming back in their glam evening outfits and refilled with energy. I took another little walk with Priya and Harry as they’d had an outfit change and we got to watch the deer in parkland. Magic!
Then it was back to finish off the party and dance into the night! This was definitely a day I will always treasure.
A little bit about this amazing venue. Helmingham Hall is in the Suffolk countryside, near to Stowmarket. You can’t actually hire the Hall but you get to use the gardens – which are absolutely magical. There is church within walking distance if you wanted a ceremony there or you can have a ceremony in the grounds. There’s deer parkland, formal gardens and lakes to explore. They are dog and family friendly and have a laid back atmosphere whilst also embracing classic style.
