Great Lodge Anne of Cleves Barn Wedding

If you’ve grown up in the countryside it’s never far from your soul. I loved roaming through the fields as a kid, riding horses and picking berries from the hedgerows. There is something so magical about the English countryside and I love it when my couples feel the same. Great Lodge, Anne of Cleaves Barn is a real gem of a venue if you want a rural wedding.

Tucked away in Great Bardfield, Braintree Great Lodge is surrounded by fields and they even have their own herd of llamas. Emma and Jake totally embraced that country feel. The boys arrived at the wedding in their landrovers and the styling was totally on point with the setting. Emma had collected loads of vintage items, even starting their own hire business along the way because they’d got so much! And it all looked fantastic. I loved the lightbulbs filled with flowers. And gosh, the beautiful dried flower arrangements from Artisan Dried Flowers were beautiful. So nostalgic, they reminded me of being a child with my mum hording up all the wildflowers.

Anyway, needless to say this day was absolutely spot on, I mean just have a look through this gallery and you can see what I mean. They are such a wonderful couple and I can never quite believe I get to work with such great people again and again!! Thanks so much guys!

“We are so happy we found Jess, after searching through what seemed like thousands of photographers we both agreed she was our favorite. Jess worked magic at our wedding, she had a mix of weather including a heavy downpour and a poorly bride to contend and she took it all in her stride and made us feel super relaxed. Our guests commented on what a lovely person she is and how hard she worked

As for her photographs …. well…. simply beautiful, I didn’t think we could be one of those couples with the perfect pictures all of the photographers put on their portfolios but looking through our pics we feel like we are!
