The Forge Hereford Wedding – Autumn
One of the best wedding ideas I see, is when couples turn their weddings into little mini-holidays. There’s something about getting married somewhere special to you, that isn’t your home, that makes it feel like more than just a wedding. These two loved this part of the world after coming here for the Hay-On-Wye book festival, so decided it would make a great spot for their autumn wedding. If you haven’t been to Hereford in the autumn I’d totally recommend it, what a beautiful part of the world!! I’m already plotting to get down that way next year!
They had the whole celebration at the Forge in Hereford, a quirky venue run by the loveliest people. Because it’s a former monestry, there’s an amazing chapel inside which made for one of the BEST ceremony’s I’ve seen this year. I love it when the ceremony is heartfelt and emotional and these two nailed it. Their personal speeches had nearly everyone in tears and I love that they had everyone singing along to Candi Staton ‘You Got the Love’ Seriously a good song and unique wedding vows really do make the ultimate emotional ceremony, it’s get me everytime!
The autumn sunshine was on form that day, so everyone got to mingle in the courtyard afterwards, fill up with champagne and watch the dove release. And then after some great food and speeches it was a whole load of drinking and dancing for the rest of the night!

And Keighley: When we got engaged, we knew that we wanted Jess Soper to do our wedding photographs. Fortunately, she was free on our date and she did not disappoint!
The photographs are stunning works of art. They capture the day perfectly and she caught so many ‘real’ moments throughout the day which was exactly what we wanted. Jess herself is lovely and her relaxed style meant that she was so easy to be with. We couldn’t recommend Jess highly enough and we are looking for any opportunity to use her again!
