Farm Wedding Essex – a back garden marquee

Where do I even start with this farm wedding?  I think I nearly died of loveliness overload.  Too many of my favourite things in one day.  The most adorable couple, Clare’s wonderful childhood farm in Essex as a backdrop, a book theme to the decor, the most divine green velvet shoes, HILARIOUS speeches, cute kids running wild…. well I could just keep going on but you can see from the photos how great this day was.

I grew up on a farm myself so I absolutely love getting to photograph farm weddings.  I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I get booked by so many farmer’s daughters.  I love how different all these weddings can feel but always with a love for the outdoors incorporated into the day.  The rich greens in the decor and Clare’s dress were spot on.  I was tempted to run off with those shoes too!  So much of the decor was created by Clare and her family.  They put so much work into their vision and it paid off 100%.  I love all the little areas set up around the garden too.  They had a mini marquee with games and a chill out zone for the kids and one of the sheds got turned into the sweetest tea room.

A special mention to the caterers too who I was super impressed with.  Absolutely wonderful food and the veggie option was spot on.

Here’s what Clare had to say: “We spent a lot of the weekend going through the pictures with my family, we absolutely love them, so thanks so much again.  Some of my favourite’s are the confetti shots, they are so crisp and really capture the feeling of just being married! We are both really grateful that we happened to see your photos and that you were available, thanks so much for being such a reassuring presence on the day!  We were especially glad we did the engagement shoot as it made us so much more relaxed at the wedding and confident that you would be getting some amazing shots!”
