Braintree Family Photoshoot

Braintree was a good midway point for me and this lovely family. I often shoot at Great Notley when I’m doing a Braintree family photoshoot. It’s got a bit of a mix of spots that suit most families and works pretty much year round. The kids love running around the park and there’s plenty of space to get away from other people in the park. But you’ve also got some fun play equipment dotted round for the kids too. Always great fun.

On this day it was pretty quiet so we could go all over without worrying about crowds. It was a bright sunny day which can sometimes be tricky when photographing small (fast moving!) children. But it actually worked out well as there was a bit of direction to the light as it was still morning and as long as I kept on the right side of the sun it acted as a good highlight. It did require a lot of running and weird maneuvering on my part to get where the good light would fall but I think it came good in the end!!
