Sudbury Suffolk wedding venues
I’m lucky enough to live right next to the lovely little town of Sudbury in Suffolk. As a wedding photographer I’ve got to know a few of the local venues here and I can recommend a whole load of things to do in the area if you aren’t from here.
Please feel free to give me a call or email me and let me know if you’re planning a wedding round here as I’m always more than happy to help. I absolutely love living in Sudbury and will happily recommend a whole heap of things to do and places to see! The river Stour runs right through it which is great for paddle-boarding or swimming. There’s lots of lovely pubs close-by, great places to walk to, woods to explore. Oh and a big bonus is it even has its own train station!
OK, let’s get started here’s some of my recommended local venues close to Sudbury Suffolk
Recommended Sudbury Venues
This local venue is so close to me, that I could actually walk to a wedding there! A lovely barn venue with lots of grounds to explore. The barn itself is fairly classic with a bar area and a dancefloor/ceremony area. There’s also an attached marquee which means the room can be turned around without putting the guests outside and it gives you a bit more space. Outside there’s lots of beautiful spots. There’s a lake right outside and a lawn in front of the house. You can also get to the more ‘farm-y’ parts.
2. The Granary
A fun little space right by the river. You can make the most of the location and come in on the boat. Or arrange for some trips for your guests. It’s quite a small space but great for a diy wedding where you want to have somewhere in Sudbury Town. I know lots of great places there for photos!
3. Sudbury Town Hall A choice of ceremony rooms and right in the middle of the pretty market square.
A lovely rural barn venue, just a few minutes outside of Sudbury, Suffolk. I love this little spot. The village is so pretty and the venue is surrounded by fields. It’s really kept the original farm barn feel too.
Another great barn venue, 6 miles from Sudbury. The barn holds up to 250 guests and you can opt to get married in the woodland glade too. It really is a special little place to get married!
This is such a beautiful setting for a wedding venue, with luxury on-site accommodation. It’s an area I often walk to and I can vouch for how wonderful it is there. They only do limited small weddings and may occasionally have a larger event on-site in a marquee. You would need to contact them to discuss further.
OK, well I think that’s a pretty good round-up for now but I really do love to help couples find their perfect wedding to suit them so if you’re getting in a muddle planning just drop me a note on my contact form!
