Kersey Mill Wedding with unique Boho dress

This was my first wedding at Kersey Mill. The ceremony was in the old mill and I loved that unique, intimate space. It perfectly suited the boho vibe that Charlie had created for her day. I’m always super impressed with anyone’s decor efforts but Charlie really was another level. The bouquets she’d created for her and the bridesmaids were absolutely divine. She’d made the venue come alive with her little touches and I am obsessed with her incredible dress. Just a week before her wedding she’d had a different dress but it got ruined by a seamstress and with just days to spare she had to source a new one!! Can you imagine the stress?? Luckily she found this gem and I couldn’t image a more perfect dress for her than this so perhaps it was fate?

What’s unique about Kersey Mill?

I included the mill in my list of small wedding venues in Suffolk because it’s such a quirky little space for the ceremony and I have to say the team running it are the absolute loveliest. They really couldn’t have been more attentive. The gardens also make this place pretty special although they can only be used for couple photos, not by all the guests. For that reason I’d probably recommend this venue for a twilight wedding or one for the colder months. I’ve put some more practical information at the bottom of this post.

Details about the Venue at Kersey Mill

Situated near Hadleigh, Suffolk – IP7 6DP. This is an adaptable venue that can cater for mini weddings right up to 150 guests! There’s a few different spaces you can use so, depending on what you wanted, you could make it work. Their website is totally not my taste but see past the chair covers (which you don’t need to use!) and just imagine it with your own decor and you’ve got a lovely, affordable venue in a beautiful setting. This suits more of a casual wedding vibe and Lisa, the manager is a total delight who will absolutely look after you.
