Upwaltham Barns -Sarah and Tom

Sarah and Tom’s wedding at the beautiful Upwaltham Barns was a real treat.

Upwaltham Barns

Upwaltham Barns are set in the South Downs National Park in Sussex. It’s a real delight of a location and feels like a real rural escape, despite being a reasonable distance from London and Brighton. The venue itself is spread over the main ceremony barn, a part for accommodation and the bar and dancefloor/reception hall. There’s a great courtyard for summer weddings and a little garden with an open sided seating area. I loved all the different areas. It felt really cohesive but gave the different parts of the day their own space. The real bonus though is the beautiful setting. There’s a dramatic hill to climb for photos which gives you a great view of the venue and the surroundings.

The wedding day

The day started in an amazing Air Bnb in Arundel and ended with a packed out dancefloor. And in between was filled with emotion, tears, lots of laughing and some great speeches. Even trekking up a hill in the wind and rain for photos didn’t put a stop to their smiles.
