Southwold Cinema Wedding

There’s just not enough words for how much I love this wedding.  Quirky, fun and brilliantly British.  Audrey and Andy managed to encapsulated everything that’s great about doing a wedding in your own way.  I can’t think of a much better place to have a wedding than Southwold and these two definitely made the most of their location.

They got ready together, surrounded by friends and family.  Hopped in a Landrover (complete with mini bar) and got married in the wonderful Southwold Cinema.  After cocktails there, it was a mini-pub crawl through the town.

Everyone met back at Southwold Boating lake Tearooms, for lunch and speeches and then some of the guests headed off to Walberswick on a vintage coach, with the rest of us taking a champagne fueled walk along the beach.  It was glorious sunshine until we were due to get the rowing boat ferry across the river and then the RAIN and wind raged in.  Of course these two weren’t phased at all.  The whole thing made the day even more hilarious and I bloody loved that they got their portraits taken with the best of British  sumertime weather swirling around us!  Those umbrellas still crack me up.

We’d walked bloody miles by then, so it was a fish and chip supper in the pub, complete with a quiz, poetry and speeches.  And then onto the harbour for sparklers and champagne at sunset, followed by an after party at their holiday home.

I mean really  I think this wedding is going to be hard to beat, absolutely brilliant in every single way.

Here’s what Audrey had to say: “Jess was exceptional. The photos are testament to her skill as a photographer but a really important thing for us was that she just fitted in with everyone and became part of the fun. She chatted to guests, was attentive to get photos of all the groups we wanted but in addition with her super eye for a good opportunity she got so much more. The candid shots say so much to us, showed us things we weren’t around for and helped us live through it all again. Just can’t thank her enough.
