Rookery Meadow
As someone who is passionate about reducing the environmental impact of weddings, Rookery Meadow in Suffolk is a dream to photograph at. The fields are part of an environmental protection scheme and the couple who run it are keen to create a sustainable wedding venue.
There is a wildflower meadow, protected hedgerows, ancient oak trees and a lake in the middle of it all with the cutest pair of ducks that will try and join in your wedding!
Rookery Meadow Location
Based in the middle of the Suffolk countryside, this is a beautiful area that feels unspoilt by the modern world. It’s all thatched cottages and wildflower meadows but you’re only a short drive from the coast too. Which of course makes it perfect if you want to make a weekend out of your wedding with your guests.
Staying at Rookery Meadow
The meadow doesn’t include accommodation but you can camp on site, which is a real bonus for the wedding night. There’s also a farmhouse a short distance away (complete with an indoor pool!) which makes everything super easy.
The ceremony
You can have a ceremony outdoors onsite, under an ancient oak tree or there’s lots of lovely local churches close by.
