The Compasses at Pattiswick relaxed country pub wedding
I love a relaxed wedding, the more personal and enjoyable the better. The Compasses, Pattiswick is the perfect place for that.
Liz and Fred totally got what a great wedding should be. They were so much fun from the moment I met them. They chose a country pub wedding. If you’re looking for that then, the Compasses at Pattiswick, is an ideal little venue. If you love pubs and you love the countryside and you love great food, then this Essex pub does all of those particularly well.
I think it was a bit of surprise to all of us how sunny this April wedding was, but it couldn’t have been more fitting. Liz is like an actual ray of sunshine. She has a brilliant sense of humor and just took everything in her stride. I loved that she gave a speech (bride speeches are always some of my favourites!). And well, that first dance was something else – I think it’s going to take a lot to beat that!
About The Compasses Pattiswick
The Compasses Pattiswick is a traditional, pub building refreshed into an intimate wedding venue. It still has that cosy, pub feel but with the special edge that you’d want from a wedding venue. There’s a bridal suite on site now so you can get ready at the venue. That makes the day much more relaxed if you prefer that option. The building is split into a few different spaces, which is great for creating different areas for different guests needs. Outside the Compasses, they have a lovely garden and courtyard area overlooking Pattiswick Countryside which is nestled in amongst Essex fields. There’s quite a bit of scope to make the day your own, or if you’re just looking for an easy venue to turn up and not have to worry too much then this is perfect.
Photographer at Compasses, Pattiswick
I’ve photographed a number of weddings at this venue now as I only live round the corner. Yay! It also means I know a couple of ‘secret’ little local spots for special photos. That’s always a bonus. So if you’d like to know more please hit the contact button above.
Here’s what Liz had to say about their photos:
“It was important to me that we “clicked” with our photograph
Jess captured our day in some truly beautiful shots. The photograph
I’m so pleased she was a part of our day, it’s been a pleasure working with you Jess (I totes sound like a model, right?!) and we wish you every success in all aspects of your life. You are one to watch”
