White Dove Barns - Beccles, Suffolk Wedding Photographer- Jess Soper

I first met Selina and Nick by the sea on Mersea Island for their engagement shoot. And I instantly felt at ease around them. They’ve been friends since they were teenagers and it was obvious how close the two of them are. I love it when I get booked by childhood sweethearts because I know how special that long-standing love is. I was so excited to photograph their wedding, especially as they said they were going make it into a mini festival!!! They chose White Dove Barns in Suffolk to be the venue, which is in an amazing setting, surrounded by Suffolk countryside and you can have everything in one place, which makes your day a lot less stressful. It also meant the wedding was more of a 3 day celebration, as many of their close friends and family stayed there for the weekend.

And it was definitely a great celebration, great food, booze, music, garden games. tattoos and even an outdoor cinema! Selina had come up with lots of great ideas to make the day feel like theirs. I loved that the bridal party all got their own set of trainers to wear. And there was a marital bed as a photobooth. I won’t deny that I thought Selina was a bit mad when she suggested that idea but it worked so well!

I can’t not mention Selina’s incredible dress from Pallas Couture such a beautiful design and the detailing was something else. absolutely one of my favourites from this year!

Finally they both did an amazing job of raising money for two charities close to their hearts. Both of them have been diagnosed with autoimmune conditions and set up a Just Giving page to raise money for the Chrons and Lupus charities. You can click on the link to donate.
