Wood Farm Barn Benacre Wedding
Benacre in Suffolk, near Kessingland and Southwold, is one of my favourite places. I’ve actually been going on holiday to that area for years. When I was asked to photograph a wedding there, I was over the moon. This is such special wedding venue. Wood Farm Barn Benacre, is hidden away in the countryside right on the Suffolk Coast. It’s a small barn venue with absolutely beautiful countryside surrounding it and it even has it’s only little wood which you can use for a ceremony. The barn itself is not one of those super luxury set ups but more of a DIY space which you can tailor to suit your day. It’s a great option for a DIY barn wedding as there’s a little kitchen there and plenty of outdoor barn space for external caterers etc.
What makes Wood Farm Barn a special wedding venue?
I think the real draw of this little venue in Benacre is the setting, having your own mini wood for the ceremony and being away from everyone else. You really do feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. However, there’s loads of places around for you and your guests to make the most of the area afterwards. The nature reserve at Benacre has a real wild beauty and you’ll find lots of great beaches and woods nearby. I also loved the little secluded courtyard out the front with the open barns for you to use.

Here are some photos of a wedding I shot there with the wonderful Leonie and Kartik. Leonie’s dress from Etsy was an absolute dream and their day was super chilled and just downright lovely. Katie the Celebrant led the ceremony in the woods. I can highly recommend her!
