Essex Newborn Photographer

My newborn photography style is a bit different to those you often see.  I don’t use a studio or overly posed shots.  My newborn shoots are all about you as a family in your home.  My focus is on the connections between all of you and the place that you call home.

The photos I love most of my babies are the ones that capture us just as we were.  My boys love looking back to see what our lives were like when they were born. They love the details in the house and the way their dad used to hold them.  These are the things that really matter in our lives.  The things that you want to remember as the years pass.

Of course I will spend some time getting some portraits of your baby, focusing on those tiny details. But this isn’t about hours of posed shots.  This is about capturing your family, the way you really are and remembering all those little details that pass so quickly.

My shoots follow the same pricing as my family photoshoots but I am slightly flexible on timings as I know how babies can be!  We will try and work around a time that suits you guys and your lives. No rushing or stress, if you need some time to settle them or just take a break that’s fine. Normally between 1-2 hours is about right.

Having your photoshoot at home will often mean the baby is more relaxed than in a strange studio.  It also means no rushing to get out the door! I’ll bring some extras that I think we might need but this really is about your lives, as they are.  And don’t worry, you don’t need to live in a show home.  The beauty of this is that your home will make part of your story (it’s also amazing how the right light can make all the difference and how much you can hide under a sofa ;)!!)
